PREPOSITION:- A preposition is a word used to nouns, pronouns , or phrases to other words within a sentence. They act to connect the people, object, locations of a sentence. A simple way to think about prepositions is as the words that help glue a sentence together. some prepositions are: in, of, for, after, before, from, at, about etc.

Preposition of Time and Date: -

You use preposition of time to talk about something that happens at a particular moment or something that lasts for a particular period:

The birds start singing before sunrise.
The car wont be ready until Friday.

The object of a preposition of time is often a date, a time, or a number of hours, days etc.:

My sister was born in 2008.
The bus arrived at half past ten.

Use of 'At' :

“At” is only used to describe specific times. It might be to describe a particular numerical time on the clock, or it could also be used to refer to particular and specific events or times of day. Examples :

Her train is arriving at 8 o’ clock.

Use of 'On' :

“On” is a very particular preposition of time, that is only used with specific days, dates or named days. For instance, you would use “on” to refer to a calendar date, a day of the week, or a special day that can be named by its significance, such as a birthday or anniversary. Examples :

On 12 March, I first learnt to swim.

Use of 'In' :

“In” is used in phrases that describe a more general period of time, that doesn’t have a specific clock time or time of day. Examples :

We got up very early in the morning .

In the question : -

1. Her birthday is on 20 November. In this sentence , on is the correct preposition of time and date as it is used to show the specific days, dates or named days.

2. The shop closes at midnight. In this sentence , at is the correct preposition of time and date as it is used to show show specific time.

3. Do you think we will go to Jupiter in the future? In this sentence , in is the correct preposition of time and date as it is used to show the general period of time, that doesn’t have a specific clock time or time of day
